Copyright and advertising
Many of our associates are members of the Hungarian Copyrights Consulting Body. Our Office has gained experiences primarily within the fields of the protection of neighbouring rights and of software works. The special professional knowledge and the continuative education of our associates enable us to comply with the new challenges occurring in these fields. Our Office also gives legal advice in connection with infringement of copyright and neighbouring rights, besides preparing of and giving legal opinion on licence agreements.
Our associates have wide experiences regarding resolving legal questions on advertising bans and ethics and resolving legal problems of consumer protection, competition law and EU harmonization.
Our Office provides legal advice to its Clients on a regular basis regarding the protection of computer program works, literary works, musical works, commercial, computer and other works, including advice giving on copyright problems occurring on the Internet. The Office also prepares licence agreements on the use of know-how and other rights and it also deals with legal representation in passing off proceedings.
Our Office undertakes the preparation of various agreements in connection with any advertisement and our colleagues frequently give legal opinion on any kind of advertisements to our Clients.

Corporate law
Our firm kindly assists its Clients in connection with corporate law matters. This field of law includes the establishment of business associations, non-profit companies, societies and foundations and accordingly the legal representation of our Clients in the connecting banking and court proceedings. This field of law also covers the legal assistance in connection with the interior operation of the companies (attending general company meetings, members' meetings and supervisory board meetings), preparation of organizational regulations and other internal regulations, merger and acquisition transactions, due diligences, general corporate law advising and legal services in connection with transformations (merger and demerger) of companies. Our firm has extensive practice in connection with insolvency proceedings (liquidation, bankruptcy proceedings) and concerning corporate dissolution cases.

Competition law
Our firm regularly advises its Clients acting in various industries in relation to issues concerning unfair competition, unfair manipulation of consumer's choices, cartels, abuse of dominant market position and merger control. We have represented our Clients in court proceedings regarding unfair imitation (passing-off), defamation and other competition law matters. We have also gained significant expertise in consumer protection cases, as well as in traditional competition law cases before the Hungarian Competition Authority.

Our firm has wide experiences and practice within this field of law; our expertise covers the preparation of labour contracts, collective agreements and giving legal opinions thereto, legal assistance in connection with the termination of the labour relationship and legal representation in judicial and extra-judicial procedures regarding labour law disputes which covers the legal consulting concerning the whole spectrum of the labour law. Real estate
Our firm is gladly at disposal of our Clients in connection with a full range of legal services in relation to real estate projects, furthermore our practice covers legal services concerning purchase of real estates, encumbrances related to any kind of real estate transactions and in relation to transfer of ownership rights or other partial rights concerning real estates. We represent our Clients with the utmost attention to their interests by the conclusion of agreements and the relating proceedings before the Hungarian land registry authority. We lay particular emphasis on the proper stipulation of various bank credit constructions in connection with purchase agreements, by scheduling the transfer of the ownership and other rights and determining the extent of the exercise of these rights. Our experiences cover resolving matters with unclear owing and inheritance relationships at the land registry authority. Our practice extends to the drawing up the terms and conditions to the legal relationships and transactions concerning sale and purchase and leasehold of arable land parcels.

Public procurements
Our firm has experience within the field of public procurement, which practical experience is supported by the theoretical knowledge of our colleagues, which have been attained in special public procurement courses. Our practice in this field covers the whole process of the public procurement procedure, thus, our firm advises the Clients in relation to procurement procedures based on all procedural regimes; this means full range of services from the preparation of the invitation documents to the assistance in closing the technical performance on the prospective contracting party's side and from the preparation of tenders and bids to the conclusion or - if necessary – to the performance of contracts on the tenderer's side. Our firm's expertise extends to the proceedings for legal remedies available in public procurement matters.
EC Community law
Our firm has been giving advice to its Clients on many occasions in Community law issues already before Hungary's accession to the EU within the preparation to the accession, since Community law plays a significant role by providing legal resources in the field of intellectual property law, which forms the main part of our firm's profile. From that time on the proceeding before the Office for the Harmonization in the Internal Market has been part of our firm's everyday practice. Knowledge of the Community law rules and the practice of the Community Courts are of an utmost importance in other fields of law as well, as the Community law fundamentally determines the legal systems of the member states - including Hungary - and has an effect also on resolving the concrete cases and responding individual legal issues.

Trade marks
The services provided by our Office cover the whole branch of the trade mark law. Our colleagues regularly submit national, international and community trade mark applications, and the necessary trade mark research prior to that. Furthermore, our Office undertakes the preparation of complaints. Our colleagues have wide experiences by contesting the possible trade mark infringement by civil law and criminal law measures. Our Office also provides monitoring services. Our colleagues are gladly at their Clients' disposal in order to prepare licence agreements and to give legal opinions thereon. Beyond the above, many of our colleagues are members of the Hungarian Trade mark Association.

Agricultural law
Our firm has update knowledge and years of experiences within this ever-changing field of law, and lays particular emphasis on the exploitage and the explorationof the facilities and advantages of the agricultural subventions, in particular the uniform provincial and agricultural subvention system. Within the frames of this legal field our firmis gladly at disposal of our Clients in connection with preparation and reviewing of land purchase and land lease agreements and representation and administration in the related land registry authority and other authority procedures, with special regard to dealing with the specific conditions connected to transactions involving foreign citizens. Our firm has prepared detailed and established contractual constructions for the new 2009-2013 period of the subvention system and the new legislation concerning liberalization of land purchases.

Mediation
Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution system, where an impartial person, the mediator assists the parties concerned by the legal dispute in reaching a settlement in the legal dispute, which the parties consider as the satisfactory solution of their legal dispute.
This dispute resolution, which enables the parties to avoid time-consuming and expensive lawsuits, as it is quick and cost-efficient, is accessible for both Hungarian enterprises and private persons in legal disputes concerning commercial matters, labour law and family law cases by the contribution of our firm's experienced and skilled mediators as impartial third parties. The result of the mediation is an agreement between the parties, which is a private law document as to its legal nature. This agreement cannot be directly enforced, in fact, - as it is based upon the mutual compromise standpoint of the parties - it is highly probable that the contents of the agreement is voluntarily complied with by the parties; this probability is supported by the experiences of the mediation proceedings in the common law countries.
Four mediators of our firm, who gained experiences in various fields of law and who are recorded in the mediation registry of the Hungarian Ministry of Justice, assist our Clients in achieving the most acceptable, enforceable and quick solution of the legal disputes on the basis of the assessment of all circumstances of the concrete matters with the application of the rules of the mediation procedure as contained in Act LV of 2002.

Domain issues
Our firm has been involved in numerous cases in connection with domain names since the appearance of the law of domains in Hungary and before various forums. In order to prevent the potential infringements our firm has filed a great number of complaints with the Council of Internet Providers. Throughout the previous years our firm has acted against many bad faith domain registrations before various mediation forums; our practice covers proceedings in relation to .hu, .com (UDRP) and .eu domains, moreover, proceedings concerning .de and .co.uk domains as well. Our firm has represented its Clients in dozens of trademark infringement proceedings based on domain infringement in the Hungarian courts.

Family law
Our firm regularly provides legal services on a regular basis, based on its extensive practice in connection with divorce actions, marital property actions and in relation to the preparation and reviewing of marital agreements. We proceeded in several child custody and child maintenance actions. Our firm has extensive practice in international child custody cases and in judicial and extra-judicial settling of international legal disputes concerning supervisory rights. Furthermore we kindly assist our Clients in inheritance matters, in particular in preparation of agreements in connection therewith and in representation in probate actions.

The legal representation in lawsuits and arbitration court cases requires specific legal experience and practice. Accordingly, our lawyers specialized in litigation and arbitration act in these cases in order to achieve the most efficient solution for our Clients with preference of close correspondence and frequent consultation. Our firm's primarily proceeds in civil law cases, in this regard the full range of legal issues, including representation in property law procedures, classical civil actions, administrative procedures and labour law procedures before the first instance, second instance courts and the in review procedures, furthermore, before the arbitration courts. Our firm - as it is indicated by the "Patent" element in the firm's name - has an outstanding litigation practice in intellectual property actions and legal disputes, especially in lawsuits concerning trademarks, patents, domains and copyrights and to law enforcement in intellectual property cases, which means an increasing number of cases in the recent time, with respect to the fact that the right-owners recognised the importance of dealing with their intellectual properties, with which they can protect their products and works from the unauthorized use and depreciation, through which their intellectual and financial investments are protected.
